Author Biography

Will Weng was the crossword puzzle editor of the New York Times from 1969 to 1977.

Eugene T. Maleska, the third crossword puzzle editor of the New York Times, held the position from 1977 to 1993. Many a New York Times puzzle solver had his or her vocabulary expanded during the Maleska years, and his legions of fans still appreciate his legacy.
